The Zahav Training Bulletins listed below by topic were created for Security Managers/Supervisors who don't have the time to draft a specific bulletin to hold officers accountable for job specific information. These were created based on requests from some of my clients who needed them to address special circumstances. For example, I wrote a bulletin for one of them titled "Media Relations". Officers must never say "No comment". This means you're guilty as hell of some wrongdoing and you're hiding something. In addition, officers need to understand Secion 490.5 of the Penal code (closing areas in an emergency).

As Director of Security, I maintained two files on every Security Officer. One was kept with the Human Resources Department. The second file which I maintained was the Officer's Training file. This file documented all phases of training; initial training, O.J.T., re-occuring training, semi-annual and annual training. My motto still today is, "If Training is Not Documented, It Never Happened!"

Recuring training for security staff was documented by using monthly training bulletins. Each training bulletin would be copied on company stationary and was kept by the security officer for future reference. The last page of each training bulletin was a one-page quiz. The officer signed this quiz and returned it to management (you guessed it, for the training file). With a set of 20 different officer bulletins, it was 20 months before an officer saw the same training bulletin twice.
