|
|
Each time the examination is offered (224 questions), a different version is administered. Each exam is composed of questions randomly selected from an approved question bank according to the content specifications of the Role Delineation Study. The application fee and examination fee is $275.00 (Computer test/CBT) or $200.00 for the written exam. Scores are reported as “scaled scores” to ensure that the passing standards of different exams are equivalent. Scaled scores run from 200 to 800, with a score above 650 being a passing point to demonstrate a level of competence. There have been more than 9,800 professionals that have earned the CPP designation. Currently, there are only 4,200 active CPPs globally. According to a survey conducted in 1997, 60% of the CPPs have over 20 years in the security profession, followed by 35% having 10-19 year in the security profession. 50% have advanced degrees or some graduate work, with an additional 28% having a Bachelor's Degree, followed by 20% having Associate's Degree. |
